Handcrafted Yellowheart Award

Yellowheart’s color and working properties endear it to woodworkers like Christopher Kameck, who chose Yellowheart to create awards for 43North.

The award represents ingenuity and growth, which Christopher felt were perfectly embodied in natural wood. He describes his decision process below:

“I used yellow heart due to the amazing quality of the grain and how it reflected the light once it was coated with a satin finish. The wood felt and looked like nature’s gold. I used elements from 43North’s logo and design. The top angle on the middle piece is 43 degrees.”

When placed in the hands of an experienced woodworker, a humble piece of wood can become an incredible piece of art. This award is a perfect example of how wood can represent the values of an organization.
