Set on a dramatically sloped property, the deck features some of the most technically challenging elements in outdoor design. A curved picture-frame border wraps the entire deck, an incredibly intricate feature to execute with precision. But the true showstopper? The floating, helical Advantage Ipe™ curved staircase—a bold design choice that required exceptional skill and attention to detail.
To preserve the client’s stunning views, the team engineered a sunken fire feature that integrates seamlessly into the deck. Every line of the deck was carefully curved to echo the home’s architecture, blending harmoniously with the arched doorways and rounded windows. Subtle ambient lighting brings the space to life after dark, casting a warm glow across the stone walls. And to top it all off, a gracefully arched bridge over the stream below ties the entire space together in serene, natural elegance.
