Improvements Continue in Brazil
Our new mill in Brazil needed some upgrades. Some of the machines were neglected and needed refurbishing. Others were beyond repair and were replaced.
We started doing work on a massive boiler that will power 11 dry kilns capable of drying 500,000 board feet of hardwood per month. This behemoth was torn down to its frame; we replaced all tubes, valves, controls, and fire brick to make it operate like new.
When is the correct time to clean and re-oil your hardwood deck?
It seems like the answer to this question should be simple enough. You clean and re-oil your hardwood deck when it starts to look faded. But you also have to take into account the season and the type of maintenance you’ve been doing.
New Woodmizer Added to Our Florida Sawmill
Our Florida location originally purchased a Woodmizer LT 50 hydraulic for processing logs.
We quickly realized that we needed something bigger and better. We have recently acquired a Woodmizer WM 1000 capable of cutting logs up to 67” wide. It’s the only one of its kind in the entire state of Florida. This allows us to mill giant logs!
Urban Lumber in Florida Expands
True to our resolve, we’ve been taking in and cutting more and more local Florida urban logs! Our variety of logs is growing and due to this growth we’ve been acquiring new machines to keep up with the demand.
Handcrafted Yellowheart Award
Yellowheart’s color and working properties endear it to woodworkers like Christopher Kameck, who chose Yellowheart to create awards for 43North.
AdvantageLumber.com on WGRZ Channel 2 Buffalo.

As a company that started in Buffalo, it’s imperative for us to provide the best product to the local community that supported us from the beginning.
