This remarkable outdoor living space, built with our premium Ipe hardwood, is a testament to expert design and unparalleled craftsmanship. The project began with an elegant deck extending from the kitchen, designed for dining and relaxation, featuring both a covered and open-air section to accommodate all-weather enjoyment.
Descending from the deck, the space seamlessly transitions to a luxurious bluestone patio, complete with an outdoor kitchen, a cozy fire pit area, and an extraordinary Ipe pergola. This massive pergola, crafted from our durable and visually striking Ipe wood, incorporates infrared heaters, lighting, and paddle fans, ensuring year-round comfort and ambiance.
One of the most impressive elements of this project is its focus on functionality and longevity. The deck features an EPDM roofing system between the joists, providing essential waterproofing that protects the treated framing and extends the life of the structure. The pergola, built with robust Ipe beams and rafters (the main support beams are 6” x 12” x 26’ and the rafters are 3” x 8”), not only adds architectural beauty but also enhances the outdoor experience with integrated heating and lighting solutions.
The wood-burning fireplace and strategically placed heaters make this an ideal space for outdoor entertainment, whether it’s a crisp autumn evening or a chilly winter game day. The seamless blend of natural materials and innovative design truly set this project apart, earning well-deserved recognition from NADRA.
