More Than Just Decking

At AdvantageLumber.com we have specialized in Brazilian hardwood for over 20 years, but we do more than just decking.  At our North Carolina, Buffalo, and Florida locations we carry multitudes of species of exotic hardwood for turning, wood working, and many more uses.

Below you’ll find pictures of some ambrosia maple table tops that have been custom cut, glued and planned to create a 1 ½” thick table top. These custom ambrosia maple table tops were ordered by a chain of restaurants located in North & South Carolina and Florida.

The same goes for these ash table tops that were ordered by a group of restaurants in Florida. White ash has a light brown color, with some darker shades of brown throughout some pieces. These custom ash table tops were ripped, glued, and planned to create an equal, leveled piece for the restaurants.

These hardwood slabs had just arrived at our North Carolina Factory. They were being air dried when this picture was taken, but were soon after placed in our kiln and then put up for sale. These hardwood slabs, consisting of jatoba, cumaru and tigerwood, measured 3 feet wide by 10-13 feet long by 2” thick.

The slabs pictured here have live edges, meaning there is still a beautiful pattern from where the bark was removed. These live edges give you some of the most beautiful and intriguing patterns created by nature.

Here are some walnut boards being planned before they’re milled into a custom profile trim. This trim will be shipped to a custom home in North Carolina to elevate the interior flooring of a home.

Finally, thanks to our kiln in our North Carolina factory, we kiln dried dimensional exotic hardwoods like you see in this photo. These pieces of lumber are going to be used for interior details in a fully enclosed porch.

  1. I live in the Charlotte area and am curious as to your location and if you sell single pieces or small orders that can be picked up?

  2. Hello Tim,

Our North Carolina location is located in Grover. Here is a link with all the information of all our locations: http://www.advantagelumber.com/contact.htm

Depending on what you are buying, single pieces may be bought. Often, this is just for our decking products and deck tiles but you can always give us a call to North Carolina to confirm.

    Thank you,
    -G. Alves
